Mountain run

Our run yesterday in the Sonoran dessert was more like a jog around the foothills of the Hegdpeth Hills.

The park has three marked trails with fifteen miles of rocky terrain for bikers, hikers, and runners of all ages.

The elevation didn’t seem to have an effect on my performance, but the rocks added an interesting element. It’s good thing we do lots of high knees in athletic conditioning they came in handy when I was jumping from rock to rock.


The temperature was a cool 75 degrees, with a breezeless calm air, and sunny.

We ran for 45 minutes covering about two miles, and finished up the workout with push ups, dips, squats, and calve raises.

Maybe I can get one more run in before Monday afternoon.
